    DO NOT USE THIS VARIABLE

    $_PTM_POS, though being a publicly accessible variable, should NEVER be
    modified at run-time. It is used as a content position marker for the @_PTM
    array, in which non-Perl script is stored until all PTM has been parsed, at
    which point it is brought back in, via Perl "print" statements to be
    displayed.
